This is a surface treatment technology that applies a high-density and thick metal plating to fiber-reinforced plastics such as CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and GFRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic), imparting new functions while maintaining the conventional lightweight properties. Our unique process enables the formation of pinhole-free coatings, preventing outgassing and allowing for compatibility with vacuum environments. Additionally, it simultaneously achieves multifunctionality by providing conductivity, electromagnetic wave shielding, and improvements in surface hardness, impact resistance, and weather resistance. We can also accommodate large items (with a dedicated plating line for large FRP) and propose optimal plating specifications tailored to various applications.
